Kaku-Shippo (also known as "Angled Seven Treasure" or "Diamond Shape") is a traditional Japanese Sashiko design. It is composed of interlocking circles that for a continuous pattern of geometric diamond and star-like shapes when stitched.
The "Shippo" (Seven Treasures) pattern is an ancient and auspicious design in Japan, often symbolising good fortune and the seven treasures of Buddhism. Although the final appearance is a series of diamond shapes, the underlying structure is based on a grid of overlapping circles.

Mylar:
Acrylic: Our Acrylic Templates are made of 2 millimetre thick, transparent acrylic material, similar to patchwork rulers. These templates are quite solid and do not have any movement or flex to them. Due to this they are a little more delicate and if dropped could crack. If using our acrylic material template a Sewline or Bohin ceramic pencil is best as they fit perfectly through the very fine stitch marking cut outs in the template.
