Bishamon Small Sashiko Template

The Bishamon pattern is traditionally used in the armour of Bishamonten, one of the seven deities of good fortune that bring treasure and good fortune. The fluid continuous design allows your creativity to take hold and design bespoke, one of a kind pieces.

Create stunning patterns with this precision-cut 4" sashiko template.

The unique marking system on our Indigo Niche Templates allows you to easily mark fabric for stitching.

Our Bishamon Sashiko Template is available in 2 different materials:

Mylar:

  • transparent for accurate placement
  • thin - making them suitable to be used with a variety of pens and markers
  • flexible - can be used on uneven layers of fabric or over embroideries and small embellishments
  • will not crack like a traditional acrylic template
  • designed and manufactured in Australia at small family operated businesses from 100% recyclable product

Acrylic: Our Acrylic Templates are made of 2 millimetre thick, transparent acrylic material, similar to patchwork rulers. These templates are quite solid and do not have any movement or flex to them. Due to this they are a little more delicate and if dropped could crack. If using our acrylic material template a Sewline or Bohin ceramic pencil is best as they fit perfectly through the very fine stitch marking cut outs in the template.
