Persimmon Flower, (or Kaki-no-hana) is a popular traditional Japanese Sashiko pattern. It uses a 'Hitomezashi' (one-stitch) format that creates beautiful floral designs using simple, repeating horizontal & verticle running stitches on a grid. This design is perfect for visible mending, decorative stitching and fabric art.

Our Persimmon Sashiko Template is available in 2 different materials:

Acrylic: Our Acrylic Templates are made of 2 millimetre thick, transparent acrylic material, similar to patchwork rulers. These templates are quite solid and do not have any movement or flex to them. Due to this they are a little more delicate and if dropped could crack. If using our acrylic material template a Sewline or Bohin ceramic pencil is best as they fit perfectly through the very fine stitch marking cut outs in the template.
