SASHIKO CLASSES

Well it's been a fabulous year for Sashiko.  Our Sashiko classes are now coming to and end with the last classes being held in Rockhampton and Gin Gin next weekend.

The Patchwork Paradise girls in Rockhampton have organised a wine and cheese evening for all who have attended the classes over the last months to "Show and Tell" on the Saturday evening.  Nothing like a bit of pressure to get those projects finished for showing.

TOOWOOMBA QUILTERS ANNUAL QUILT AND FINE ARTS EXHIBITION

The Toowoomba Quilters Club are again holding their annual "Quilts and Other Fine Arts" exhibition during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Week - September 17 - 23 at "The Salo Centre, St. Ursula's College, Rome Street, Toowoomba.

Open Daily  9.00 a.m - 5.00 p.m.   ENTRY $5.

We'll be there for the week demonstrating Sashiko for the beginner - so come along and have a hands on lesson.  Sashiko is very easy for young girls and boys to achieve an end result -  Its simplicity is what makes it attractive to all ages.   It's an easy concept to achieve a completed project -  something to think about for the coming School Holidays to keep young minds and hands busy.

BRISBANE QUILT AND CRAFT SHOW - OCTOBER 19TH - 23RD

We are now taking pre-bookings for the 2 hour workshops at the Brisbane Quilt and Craft Show being held at the Brisbane Convention Centre - October 19th - 23rd.  Cost is $55.00 for a two hour workshop - Don't miss out on the chance to be tutored by visiting artist Sylvia Pippen in the gentle art of Sashiko.  First hour will be a hands on workshop sewing a "Kangaroo Scissors Pouch" in Sashiko - second hour will be a demonstration of her applique method.  As an added bonus Sylvia will give a mini trunk show of a few of her gorgeous quilts.  For pre-bookings - contact - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
